Creative Process
1. Research & Shot Planning:Conducted detailed analysis of each shot to identify unwanted elements. Reviewed set references to ensure historical accuracy and understand lighting and textures for background restoration.
2. Cleanup Strategy: a clean-up plan, focusing on efficient paint techniques—combining frame-by-frame clean-up, patching, and projection methods to handle complex camera movements.
3. Digital Paint Execution:Used Nuke and Silhouette FX to paint out wires, rigs, tracking markers, and unwanted reflections. Built clean plates for shots requiring heavy reconstruction.
4. Sequence Paint: Applied consistent clean-up across long shots and sequences, ensuring smooth transitions and no popping artifacts.
5. Refinement & QC: Iterated through internal reviews, ensuring clean plates matched grain structure, lighting, and scene continuity. Made final adjustments based on supervisor feedback.
6.Final Delivery:Delivered final clean plates and composites in 2K and 4K resolution, ready for seamless integration in the compositing pipeline.
