Position Overview:
We are looking for skilled Digital Paint Artists to join our team. You’ll be responsible for performing high-quality clean-up work, including removing unwanted elements (wires, rigs, markers), restoring background plates, and creating clean sequences that are production-ready. Your work will play a critical role in delivering invisible visual effects to our clients.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Paint out tracking markers, wires, rigs, crew reflections, and set equipment from footage
- Reconstruct complex background plates using clean frames or custom patches
- Create high-quality, seamless paint work across sequences with consistency
- Collaborate with compositors and supervisors to meet creative and technical expectations
- Track shot progress, submit work for review, and iterate based on feedback
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail in every frame
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a Digital Paint or 2D cleanup role
- Proficiency in Nuke, Photoshop, and Silhouette FX (required)
- Understanding of grain structure, lighting continuity, and plate restoration techniques
- Experience with sequence paint and frame-by-frame clean-up
- Ability to work under deadlines in a collaborative environment
- A strong demo reel showcasing professional-level paint and clean-up work
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with rotoscoping workflows
- Knowledge of 3D projection or camera tracking for advanced paint tasks
- Prior experience in episodic or feature film production environments
